The opportunity
As a popular and people-centric organisation, the bank had a vision to get even closer to their customers while simultaneously enhancing their financial well-being. To this end, there was an opportunity to modernise its existing app and while making the millions of daily financial experiences for its users as smooth, seamless and enjoyable as possible.
Qvik's role
Our team played an active role in not only creating the product strategy but also designing, delivering and supporting the new banking app. This allowed Qvik to utilise its skills and knowledge across concept design, UX & UI design, Apple Pay & Google Pay, iOS & Android development and continuous support services.
The solution
Through the newly proposed app, customers would still be able to handle their regular payments and credit-card transactions – but more easily than ever before. However, we also planned to introduce additional easy-to-use features. These included the ability to trade stocks and funds, view market information in real time, and purchase through the simplicity of Google Pay and Apple Pay. Other features such as biometric log-in plus the option of managing and subscribing to e-invoices further modernised this comprehensive banking app overhaul.
The outcome
The Savings bank group recorded immediate improvements across all aspects of customer experience for their 231,000 monthly active users. 3.8 million logins in 30 days. 42,500 Apple Pay and Google Pay adoptions with growing user base and 15 million confirmed payments over the first 12 months.
